What Is Fund-A-Thon?
Fund-A-Thon (FAT) is the National Network of Abortion Fund's (NNAF) annual fundraising season, when abortion funds and reproductive justice advocates (that means you!) in communities across the country fundraise on behalf and in support of their local abortion fund!
Fund-A-Thon is RRFP’s biggest annual fundraiser of the year! Every dollar we raise together during Fund-A-Thon makes a collective impact on abortion care seekers in Virginia. Your dollars support our callers’ appointment and practical support costs, ensuring they receive the safe, compassionate, and affirming care they deserve.
Virginia is the last state in the South without new restrictions on abortion care following the Dobbs decision. The expanding criminalization of abortion care nationally continues to create more and more urgency in an already urgent landscape. We need our community’s collective power more than ever.

Fund-A-Thon ‘26: Building a Vessel for Our Future
Fund-A-Thon ‘26 is for all the folks practicing prefiguration, or “building a new world in the shell of the old.” Prefigurative politics call for us to disrupt the status quo and lean into radical imagination, rather than waiting for change.
The regenerative nature of ceramics, glass, and metal speaks to our theme. We’re building, breaking, and applying pressure to what no longer serves us to forge new containers together.
Our theme is a love letter to Richmond's vibrant clay-making and ceramics community, and to all the ways we build and mold anew. We can’t wait to see how y’all interpret our theme!

Fund-A-Thon and Your Impact
Every dollar raised during Fund-A-Thon directly supports RRFP's callers. In FY25, RRFP received over 2,000 requests for support to our warmline and often reached our budget maximum for pledges towards financial support within two hours of fielding calls each week. Ultimately, we were able to fund over $300,000 worth of abortion care and practical support, which included providing financial and logistical support to 210 Language Access line callers. The more we raise together, the more callers we can help together!
We are the only fund in our region with a dedicated 24/7 Language Access line to serve folks whose primary or preferred language is not English. We also have the only dedicated line to incarcerated or recently incarcerated people seeking abortion care, making our work more vital than ever.

Fund-A-Thon 2025 Recap:
Fund-A-Thon 2025: DIY Revolution was an amazing season defined by DIY creativity, crafts, collaborations and more! RRFP held our annual 2-day plant sale, our first volunteer-led Crafting for the Revolution event, 4th annual Reproductive Freedom Fest, and numerous raffles! With the help of over 15 fundraisers, multiple teams, our amazing community partners and volunteers - we raised a total of over 100K together!
